Why should I choose Monofibre Hair Extensions?
To ensure that you use a system that has been tried, tested and proven over 25 years.
So Human hair is a bad idea?
So acrylic hair extensions produce the best results?
Monofibre Extensions produces the best results as Monofibre is a high quality product designed specifically for hair extensions. Be aware of cheap imitations as many companies purport to sell Monofibre. They don't!
How are Monofibre Extensions attached?
Monofibre Extensions are attached to the root of the hair using a C2 that creates a tiny plastic ring to keep them in place. There are no glues used in the process.
How easy are Monofibre Extensions to maintain?
They are very easy to maintain. It is advisable that you use the aftercare products so that they remain in the same pristine state as when you left the salon. All you need to do is wash as you normally would and blow dry to the style you want. Once set, the style will stay in place.
How long do they last?
They will last 3 months but most salons will offer a tidy-up service to keep the style looking immaculate.
How can they be removed?
They can be removed at home but make sure that your hairdresser teaches you how to do this. All salons are happy to remove the extensions and it is a great deal quicker for you.
I have read that you can get bald patches?
You do not get bald patches with the application of Monofibre Extensions. These occur when acetones and solvents are used to dissolve the glue on removal of human hair extensions.
Will I need to colour my own hair to achieve the same colour?
No, as the colour is already matched by the trained stylists in the salon to suit your own tones.
How long does my own hair need to be to secure extensions?
Your own hair needs to be a minimum of 3 inches/ 10cm long for the extensions to be securely attached.
Is Monofibre suitable for all hair types?
Monofibre comes in 2 textures: classic and wave. The classic texture works on poker straight and semi straight hair while the wave texture works on all curly hair types.
What interval of time is necessary in-between applications?
The client can have Monofibre Extensions removed and replaced during the same appointment so that a continual look is maintained.
Is the same Monofibre re-used when I return for a re-application?
No, as each time a fresh set of Monofibre Extensions are applied to your hair.
Why don't trichologists approve of extensions?
Trichologists only see clients who have problems either with bald patches or allergic reactions due to the glue or acetones used with human hair. As yet Dome has not been approached by a trichologist to ask to describe the system used with Monofibre. |
